9 Months Of Pregnancy In 4 Minutes

Image
This video shows in just four minutes how a child arrives in this world, from conception to birth. The clip offers a 3D visualization of the development of an embryo in the mother’s womb, and will be interesting for both men and women to watch. Incidentally, as little as 20 years ago we could only have dreamed of making this kind of film, for in those days the technology to make an ultrasound image of the inside of the uterus did not exist. THE ONE VIDEO THAT CAN CHANGE THE WORLD

Image
This is a short documentary film made by Spencer Cathcart questioning our freedom, the education system, corporations, money, the American capitalist system, the US government, world collapse, the environment, climate change, genetically modified food, and our treatment of animals. I urge you to listen it the whole way through. If everyone in the world would hear every word in this video and then act upon their feelings the world would change overnight… At this moment you can be anywhere, doing anything. Instead you sit alone before a screen. So what is stopping us from doing what we want, being where we wanna be? Each day we wake up in the same room, following the same path to live the same day as yesterday. Yet at one time, each day was a new adventure. Along the way something changed. Before, our days were timeless, now our days are scheduled. Is this what it means to be grownup, to be free, but are we really free? Food, water and land, the very elements we need to ...

This Law Could Allow Trump To Undo All Of Obama’s Recently Passed ‘Last-Minute’ Regulations

Image
The Obama administration recently passed dozens of major  regulations   including the far-reaching changes on healthcare, consumer protections and environmental safety. All of these newly passed regulations could quickly be undone with Donald Trump’s signature. There is a seldom used law that dates back to 1996 which makes this possible. There is a kicker to the rule as well, if the law is used to strike down a rule, the federal agency that issued the rule is barred from enacting similar regulation in the future. The obscure law, which could erase dozens of Obama regulations, is called the Congressional Review Act. It was passed 20 years ago with help from Newt Gingrich who was the House Speaker at the time, and now is now a part of Trump’s transition team. Congress will have 60 legislative days to review and override major   regulations   enacted by federal agencies. The vote would not be subject to filibuster in the Senate. The law is often rendered toothl...

The 3 Main Reasons Why People are Afraid to Think

Image
Logical thought is one of the main traits that distinguish us humans from other animals. The majority of people, however, don’t make full use of their thinking capacity, mainly because of the conditioning that they had to undergo when they were growing up, which has made them fear thinking. Here are the three main reasons why people are afraid to think: 1. Thinking brings change Thinking can make us reconsider our way of living, allowing us to see things from different perspectives, and helping us find ways to overcome obstacles that we might be facing — in short, it can change our lives to the better, if used wisely. Although  change is a necessary part of spiritual growth , many people are afraid of it, being strongly attached to their past — or rather, their ego — that they identify themselves with. Hence they choose not to think in order to prevent any change from happening, holding on their ego so hard, not wantin...

Effortless Meditation

Image
Transcendental Meditation is different from other forms of meditation . Many people are hesitant to start a meditation practice because they fear it will be hard, bu t a  new study shows that at least one form, Transcendental Meditation, actually requires very little effort. Transcendental Meditation (TM) is a type of meditation that is practiced twice a day, for 20 minutes at a time. Practitioners sit with their eyes closed. Unlike other forms of meditation, it does not focus on breath work or chanting. Still other forms of meditation call for concentration, such as Zen and Vipassana styles, or open monitoring, such as mindfulness meditation and Kriya yoga. The research on TM was published in the journal  Brain and Cognition . It looked at both self-reports and brain patterns of those studying at the Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa. It looked at 87 students who had been practicing TM for anywhere from one month to five years. Researchers observ...

BREAKING: Trump Fires 500 Obama Staffers

Image
Donald Trump is reportedly firing around 500 of Barack Obama’s staffers, as he plans to completely fill the White House with his own team. The Federalist Papers   reported that though it’s likely that Hillary Clinton would have let most of Obama’s people go so that she could hire her own staff, Trump’s win closed the door on the possibility of any of Obama’s staffer sticking around. The fired staffers have gotten so desperate about their employment situation that Obama has brought in representatives from Facebook, Instagram and other companies to offer insights into the job market. According to   CBS News , Linkedin officials are helping Obama’s staff find ways to market their skills.
